The Follow-Up Machine

An outreach engine for my own kids' story app: it finds creators on YouTube, scores whether their audience fits, and runs the whole email sequence by itself, every day.

Find, score, send, reply, and a strip of 14 successful daily runs

Before · After

Before

Find, email, remember to follow up, forget

After

One email written once; five touches sent on schedule, every day

Problem

I needed creators to partner with my kids' story app, and finding and chasing them by hand was never going to happen alongside building the app.

Approach

I wrote the offer once. The engine searches YouTube, has an AI model throw out channels whose audience does not fit, then sends my email and four follow-ups on a schedule until someone replies. A separate job emails me every morning so silence is never mistaken for success.

Outcome

It has run every single morning on record, 14 out of 14 in the retained history, with zero failed runs, and 641 creators have been contacted through it.

My role

Designed and built all of it: discovery and scoring, the sequence, the heartbeat, the server.

What this means for you

The follow-up you keep meaning to send to last month's quotes is the same problem. Write it once and let it go out on the right day.
