AI automation for Louisville and Southern Indiana businesses

MAC Technologies builds AI agents and workflows for owner-run businesses: agents that qualify a new lead before anyone picks up the phone, and workflows that carry a customer's details from the website form into the CRM without anybody typing them twice.

MAC Technologies is a Louisville company. I'm Matt Colin, and I run it.

The work in front of the work

Who calls a new customer back while the owner is out on a job? Who sends the quote that needs the owner's eye before it goes?

That's usually why a quote sits for three days. The person who knows how to price it is the same person who's out doing the work. It's also why one customer ends up typed into the website form, then the CRM, then the invoice, by whoever has a minute.

How every engagement is set up

  • 01

A written, fixed price for each step.

If anything changes, we agree it in writing before it changes.

  • 02

A small, fixed-price prototype comes first.

It runs on your own process before there's any talk of a full build.

  • 03

You approve each step before the next one starts.

Built around how the owner decides

Software can move data around all day. The harder part is the call an owner makes without thinking about it: which job is worth bidding, which lead gets called back first. I spend the time to understand why those calls get made, then build them into the system. What reaches the owner is the work worth their attention, and the rest of the day goes to the part they're good at.

Work for Louisville businesses

A Louisville-area mechanical contractor.

Before a bid goes out, somebody has to read every piping drawing in the packet and count what's on it. I'm building the engine that does that read for them, as a paid build. A scanned drawing goes in, it finds the tables and labels, reads them, and hands back a material list their team can check. When it can't read a sheet, it says so instead of guessing. It's built to run on a machine inside their building, because the drawings belong to their customers.

A Louisville recruiting firm.

They paid for a prototype, and I built and delivered it. It pulled open job listings, researched each company, scored it against the kind of client they wanted, and drafted the outreach for their team to send.

Earlier, at Global Payments, a 27,000-person payments company.

I built an intake and governance engine that routed each piece of work to the right approvers by type, scope, systems and geography. It ran in production for years and outlived my 2022 departure. A conservative estimate puts it at about $1M+ a year in reclaimed time across 500+ contributors. It was built before AI existed, so every routing call in it was written by hand.

Local, and in person

I meet Louisville clients in person to see how the work actually gets done. The build happens remotely after that, so nothing waits on a visit.

Kentucky

Louisville, plus Jefferson, Oldham, Bullitt, Shelby and Spencer counties.

Indiana

Jeffersonville, Clarksville, New Albany, Floyds Knobs, Sellersburg and Borden.

How it starts

  1. 01

    Talk and diagnose.

About a week. I watch how the work moves and write down what's worth automating and what isn't.

  2. 02

    Prove it.

About two weeks. A small, fixed-price prototype of the one piece worth proving, running on your process.

  3. 03

    Build.

Two to six weeks, at a fixed price you've approved.

  4. 04

Run it or hand it off.

I keep it running month to month, or I train the person on your team who'll own it.

Questions Louisville owners ask

Do you work as an AI consultant in Louisville, or remote?
Both. I meet Louisville and Southern Indiana clients in person to see how the work gets done, and the build itself happens remotely.
Do you work with businesses in Southern Indiana?
Yes. Jeffersonville, Clarksville, New Albany, Floyds Knobs, Sellersburg and Borden are all in the service area, along with Louisville and Jefferson, Oldham, Bullitt, Shelby and Spencer counties.
How much does AI automation cost for a small business?
It depends on scope, so every step gets a written, fixed price before it starts, and the first paid step is a small prototype rather than a full build. For what the market charges, with each figure's source named, see what AI automation costs.
Will my customers end up talking to a bot?
Only where you decide they should. You approve each step before it starts.
What if the prototype doesn't prove out?
Then you stop there. You've paid the prototype's fixed price, not a build's, and nothing moves to the next step without your approval.
Do I have to learn new software?
Where it can, the work goes inside the tools your team already uses: the CRM, email, forms, spreadsheets.
