Case study · Louisville recruiting firm

The Prospect Research Engine

A Louisville recruiting firm's business development started with hours of research per company. I built a paid prototype that finds the openings, researches the company, scores the fit and drafts the outreach, so the human starts at the edit.

Before · After

Before

An hour or two of research before the first email

After

A researched, scored prospect and a draft, in about two minutes

Problem

A Louisville recruiting firm's business development ran on an account executive spending an hour or two researching each company before he could write a single good email.

Approach

I built an engine that finds companies with open roles, filters out the ones that do not fit, researches each one with a search-grounded AI, works out how to reach the right person from real evidence, scores the fit against the firm's own rubric, and drafts the outreach. A person edits and sends.

Outcome

A paid prototype, built and delivered, that runs the whole chain in about two minutes.

My role

Sole builder: discovery, the workflow, the scoring rubric, the research and drafting prompts.

What this means for you

If someone on your team spends their mornings researching before they can sell, that research is the part to hand to a machine.
